How I got here

I did not set out to be a consultant. I set out to build things that work in places where most things don't.

I started at the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, running a disaster management unit through the hardest years imaginable. From there I moved through humanitarian response — GOAL, SHAFAK, programs funded by UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA, the EU — learning how to manage complex projects when the stakes are people's lives and the margin for error is zero.

Then I built businesses. I co-founded and ran a company in Turkey, and eventually made my way to the Netherlands, where I worked in food innovation as Director of Innovation at Daffee, a B Corp, and as an entrepreneur in residence at Impact Hub Amsterdam and Flevo Campus.

Along the way I noticed a gap. Arabic-speaking founders in the Netherlands were building real businesses but fighting the Dutch system alone — tax, subsidies, operations, growth — without anyone who understood both worlds. And Dutch businesses looking toward MENA markets had no one who had actually operated there. I sit in the middle of both.

That is what TK Advisory is. Not a big firm with a deck. One operator who has built in hard places, knows the Dutch system, speaks the languages, and tells you the truth about what will and won't work.
